Bloodlust! – 1959 Horror Film
Here’s a horror film shot in 1959 and then released in 1961 about a group of young people who find themselves prey for a sadistic hunter on an island. It is quite obviously a rip-off of ‘The Most Dangerous Game‘ which was filmed in the thirties as a warm up for the sets and special effects of King Kong.

Here’s an awesome horror short that’s a very professional grade fan film based on Ben Templesmith’s ‘Welcome to Hoxford’ comic book. It’s bloody impressive and has a nice creepy psychotic edge to it. The film was directed by Julien Mokrani. Just what the warden ordered for Halloween’s month of October!

Spooky Movie 2010: A Short Super 8 Film by Brian Lonano
This was the Official Opening Film for the 2010 Spooky Movie Film Festival. It was directed and animated on Super 8 film by Brian Lonano. It is now one of the entries in the My Super 8 Movie Contest.
28 Seconds Later – A Horror Film Shot On the Set of 28 Weeks Later During Downtime

Ok, so get this! A filmmaker, Damien Joseph Wasylki, worked on 28 Weeks Later and during the downtime snuck around with a camera, borrowed all the great costumes, props and makeup and just made his own horror film! How about that? That’s some real guerrilla filmmaking if I ever saw it. It’s got that nice jittery hardcore infected look with lots of blood and twitchy bodies.
Red Riding Hood Meets Frankenstein – A Film by Ricky Lewis Jr.
Here’s a humorous tribute to the Universal horror films of old. It was directed by Ricky Lewis Jr. and features a forest, an inn, Frankenstein, Red Riding Hood, an invisible man, vampires, fog and various comedic chills. The production has a large cast who give themselves over entirely to the mood of the piece. There’s a nice underground vibe to the proceedings and the effects are surprisingly good.
The Thumbsucker Cutter – A Film by Philip Brett
Philip Brett’s short film is an unsettling hybrid of puppets and animation. It’s dollhouse weird, full of shadows and garish colors, blood and clowns. Horrific. It’s based on the tales of naughty children by Heinrich Hoffman. The music is by the Vendetta Orchestra.
The Last Harvest – A Film by Heidi Phillips
Canadian experimental filmmaker Heidi Phillips made this little ghost story film that could almost as easily be called a memory film. Mike Everleth over at Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film has some good comments in his review of the film.
Horse Glue – A Film by Stephen Irwin
Stephen Irwin is the animator behind this horrifically beautiful and mysterious film. Its heart is located right in the deep dark forests of fairytales, but its story is a conflagration that puzzles even while it astounds. Irwin slyly weaves two films together inside an old cathode ray TV tube to create his fascinating hybrid horror.

Horror Short: Helping Hand
Adult Content – Not For Children Under 13
This is a graphic horror film. It’s not intended for young children. If you are under 13, do not watch this before discussing it with your parents! Seriously. Also, you should probably not watch it if you are at risk from sudden fear, anxiety or shock.
A woman answers the phone late at night and does not recognize the voice on the other end.
This is my own contribution to the specific horror genre exemplified by the series of Saw movies. It also has some of the qualities of the moral warning fairy tales in which awful things happen to innocents because of relatively minor errors in judgment.
It’s really fun to make a hardcore scary little movie for Halloween! I’ve wanted to make a horror film for quite a while and just never had the perfect opportunity. It’s a very simple film but it can really give some people a bad scare.
