{"id":2360,"date":"2009-08-22T09:56:08","date_gmt":"2009-08-22T16:56:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.candlelightstories.com\/?p=2360"},"modified":"2010-12-13T09:56:33","modified_gmt":"2010-12-13T17:56:33","slug":"great-britain-releases-pan-am-lockerbie-bomber-on-campassionate-grounds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/candlelightstories.com\/Blog\/2009\/08\/22\/great-britain-releases-pan-am-lockerbie-bomber-on-campassionate-grounds\/","title":{"rendered":"Great Britain Releases Pan Am Lockerbie Bomber on &#8216;Campassionate&#8217; Grounds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Great Britain, the most anti-terrorism and surveillance-oriented nation in the world, has released from prison the mass-murderer terrorist, <em>Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi<\/em>, who carried out the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pan_Am_Flight_103\">bombing of the Pan Am passenger jet over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988<\/a> which killed 270 people.\u00a0 It would appear that the decision to release one of the worst terrorists in history was made by <em>Scottish Justice Minister Kenny MacAskill<\/em>.\u00a0 Apparently, the terrorist is suffering from terminal prostate cancer and the authorities in Great Britain saw fit to release him on <em>&#8216;compassionate&#8217;<\/em> grounds.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.merriam-webster.com\/dictionary\/compassion\"><em>Compassion<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 Great Britain feels compelled to alleviate the suffering of a man who bombed 270 men women and children out of the skies over Scotland.\u00a0 One of those children actually grew up next door to my former wife.<\/p>\n<p>This absolute debacle has the potential to collapse the current government in Great Britain because worldwide outrage is so extreme.\u00a0 <em>British Prime Minister Gordon Brown<\/em> is refusing to openly criticize the decision to release made by Scotland&#8217;s semi-autonomous justice system.\u00a0 In fact, there are increasing reports that the release is due to trade agreements between Great Britain and Libya.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-1208001\/Heros-welcome-Lockerbie-bomber-Megrahi-slaughtered-270.html\">The released terrorist was given a hero&#8217;s welcome in Libya<\/a>, with the Scottish flag being waved as part of the revolting celebration.\u00a0 The nation of Libya employed the terrorists and directed the carrying out of the bombing in 1988.\u00a0 Libya&#8217;s leader, Colonel Gaddafi, actually thanked Prime Minister Gordon Brown and the Queen of England, saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To my friends in Scotland, the Scottish National Party, and Scottish prime minister, and the foreign secretary, I praise their courage for having proved their independence in decision making despite the unacceptable and unreasonable measures that they faced.
