Anton Bogaty’s<\/em><\/a> new film is Gumms<\/em>.\u00a0 It’s not intended for young children – mature subject matter.\u00a0 A cartoonist works for a bubblegum manufacturer making those little comic-strips that go inside the wrapper.\u00a0 He’s looking for an idea.\u00a0 Bogaty uses interesting techniques in his films.\u00a0 He seems to edit them together almost as if he were just making a storyboard.\u00a0 The drawing is deceptively simple.\u00a0 The animation is minimal.\u00a0 But it all adds up to some of the most interesting films being drawn.\u00a0 Really nice troubling work.\u00a0 This Bogaty is an artist.\u00a0 I like him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
